Sweden Elections Odds 2018

The Swedish general election is to be held on 9 September 2018. They will elect 349 members of the Riksdag (the highest decision-making body in Sweden) who will later vote on the new Prime Minister.

Sweden is a monarchy within a full-democratic multi-party system dominated by the Social Democratic Workers’ Party. This party has held majority or plurality in the parliament for over a century (since 1917). The Social Democratic Party has the most members in the Riksdag (113 out of 349) and is led by Stefan Lofven, Sweden’s Prime Minister since 2014.

The Moderate party led by Ulf Kristersson is the second largest Swedish party, with 84 seats in the Riksdag. This party was the largest governing party from 2006-2014 when the Social Democrats took over. The moderate party will be among the biggest opponents to the Lofven Cabinet in this year’s election, although experts don’t see them winning.

The third biggest party is the Swedish Democrat party led by Jimmie Akesson. It has considerably fewer seats in the Riksdag (49) and is considered a major opponent to the Social Democrats in the 2018 election since the party has grown in popularity in the past few years.

Mansion Bet

Mansion Bet went live in February 2018 and has since been attracting attention from thousands of punters. Although new on the market, the site offers enticing odds on many sports and even political events. Even though young, Mansion Bet is expected to make great leaps forward in the future.

For the 2018 Swedish general election, Mansion Bet considers the Social Democrats as the favorite for the elections, giving them odds of 20/33. Surprisingly, the Sweden Democrats are trailing behind with odds of 11/10, while the Moderate Party comes in at 3rd place with odds of 9/2.

These 3 parties are being given the biggest chances of winning the general election. The chances for the other parties aren’t really great – the Centre Party has odds of 250/1, while the Liberals, Green Party and Christian Democrats are at the end of the list with odds of 1000/1.

If you’re feeling lucky, you can also bet on direct duels between the parties involved as well as on the total percentage of votes for each party or the Next Government to be in Majority market.

Ole777

Ole777 is a fresh player on the British online betting market with great odds and a variety of sporting markets. Understandably, the site has a welcome offer in place for new punters. Besides the huge number of sports offered by Ole777, they also offer betting on the 2018 Swedish general election.

The odds are in favor of the Social Democrats, who are the most likely party to win the election with odds of 20/33. The Sweden Democrats are not too far behind with odds of 11/10, while the second largest Swedish party the Moderate Party has odds of 9/2. Just like Mansion Bet, Ole777 doesn’t give the other parties great chances of winning the general election.

Of course, Ole777 offers other markets for the Swedish general election. You can bet on the percentage of votes of all the parties or pick your favorite in an exciting duel between two. If you think the next government will be in a majority, the odds are 5/1 for Yes and 1/10 for No. If you’re planning to back the Sweden Democrats against the Moderate Party, the odds are in favor of the Democrats (1/2 vs. 6/4).

Letou

Although not exactly a new bookmaker, Letou arrived at the English betting market only recently. In the past few years, the Asian giant made a few deals with teams from the Premier League which definitely turned the attention of thousands of punters. Letou is one of the official shirt sponsors of Premier League team Swansea City A.F.C. which definitely brought them recognition.

Besides the great variety of sports, Letou offers betting on the 2018 Swedish general election which will take place in September. Just like other bookmakers, Letou favors the Social Democrats to get a new term as Sweden’s leaders, giving this party odds of 20/33. The Sweden Democrats are on the surprising second place with odds of 11/10, leaving the Moderate Party behind with odds of 9/2.

The other parties don’t really stand a chance in this year’s election according to bookmakers. If betting on the outright winner by percentage of votes isn’t your thing, you can bet on the percentage of votes for each party and a variety of other exciting markets. You can also bet on direct duels between the parties involved in the election as the odds are pretty enticing.

SportPesa

SportPesa has been active for quite a long time in Africa, but only recently made the jump to the UK. The online bookmaker has a nice collection of sports markets and quite attractive odds as well. When it comes to the 2018 Swedish general election, the Social Democrat Party is again leading the way with odds of 20/33, with the Sweden Democrats trailing close with odds of 11/10. Again, the 3rd most likely favorite to win the general election is the Moderate Party, being given odds of 9/2.

From there, the remaining parties’ chances are pretty slim. The Left Party has odds of 300/1, while the Christian Democrats, Green Party, and Liberals are joint outsiders with odds of 1000/1.

If you’re interested in other markets for the Swedish election, you can bet on direct head to head duels between two parties or try your hand at the Next Government to be in Majority market (5/1 – Yes; 1/10 – No).

Fun88

Although established about a decade ago, Fun88 became popular only recently due to the involvement in sponsoring deals with Premier league teams. They are commonly known as the main shirt sponsor of Newcastle United, but their sportsbook offer is enticing enough to make this bookie a favorite with punters. There’s a generous welcome offer for new customers and World Cup special offers you should definitely take a look at.

Just like all the other bookmakers, Fun88 offers betting on different markets for the 2018 Swedish general election. Once again, the Social Democrat Party is the leading favorite with odds of 20/33, followed by Jimmie Akesson’s Sweden Democrats with odds of 11/10. The Moderate Party is sitting on the 3rd spot with odds of 9/2, while the other parties are not even close to these 3 favorites.

If you’re planning on putting money on the exact percentage of votes for each party, Fun88 offers that market as well. You can also bet on direct duels (Most Votes) between parties or try guessing if the Next Swedish government will be in majority (5/1 for Yes and 1/10 for No).
